BOYS & GIRLS
INTRAMURAL FIRST PRACTICE INFO (U10 - U14)
Be prepared to start practice the week of 3/21 (on Tues
or Thurs) but practices probably will not start until the week of
3/28 (Tues or Thurs). The actual start date will depend on the condition
of the fields & when the coaches are able to have their first practice.
Coaches will call with first practice information
the week of 3/14 & it's up to each individual coach which day he
or she will start practice.

INSTRUCTIONAL PARENTS
DO NOT RECEIVE A PHONE CALL FROM THEIR COACHES .
Parents will be mailed info
about the spring season in late March.
The instructional
(U6 & U8)
spring
season starts in mid April and runs through the first weekend in
June.

The practice & game fields are located at Lancaster Twp.
Community Park Field. You can park & access the fields from Atkins Ave.
What to expect on the first day of practice.
Players & Parents
can report to the area under the large trees which is to the left of the
utility
shed.

At this time the director will explain what to
expect throughout the season, the kids will be assigned to their coaches
& receive their jerseys. The first day of practice will then be
underway.
Instructional Games:
The first few Saturdays are practices, and then
games are
played on Saturdays for the rest of the season. Instructional
games are played in-house (against other LYSC teams).
Practice & Game Cancellations.
If a practice/game is cancelled due to bad weather your
coach will call with the cancellation approx. an hour before practice is
scheduled to begin. - We may also post the cancellation on the home page
of the website. There may be times when the cancellation is posted well
in advance of your coach's call if it's an ugly day & the forecast is
calling for prolonged bad weather. Instructional Make Up Games
are normally played the following Monday in place of practice.

How To Register
The Spring Season (practice) Normally Begins
approx the 3rd or 4th week of March with the last game for the boys
being the 1st Saturday in June. LAGS end of season (Spring
festival) might be last weekend of May.
Please Note:
Intramural Parents do not receive a
letter in the mail like the U6/U8 divisions. It is up to each
coach when he or she will start practice.

All Home Games are played at Lancaster Twp Community Park.
The Boys normally play (8) games. Game day is
Saturday w/ the home games being played in the morning & the away games
can start as late as 3:00 pm. - There is no boys spring tournament.
The Girls normally play (7) regular season games
and then play in the LAGS tournament at the end of the season. Game day
for the girls is Sunday w/ the games being played in the afternoon.
Intramural Games are played against
other Lancaster County Youth Soccer Clubs.
Intramural players are required to be at the field 1/2
hour
before game time (League rule).
Players/parents are responsible for their own
transportation to & from practice & games.
NO GAMES MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
Travel teams are only created if we have enough players
to fill the roster. If a player registers for a travel team & a travel
team is not created, the player will automatically be placed on the
intramural team & parents are reimbursed for the difference in the fees.
You will be notified if we do not have a team & the player can opt not
to play on an intramural team.
